Abstract

The contemporary cultural processes make us confront, among other, very specific experiences dealing with our memories. The hastening processes of globalization, which seem to homogenize nearly the totality of all human experiences, are facing the claims of particularities and identities which root
their foundations on collective an individual memories. Beyond the pertinence and efficiency of these claims, the only question that should really be posed – because is not obvious to suppose a clear cut answer – is this: About which memories are we talking when their improvement, their care, their promotion and their management appear as an obsession in our present situation?
