Abstract
This article deals with a descriptive reflection on how María Zambrano spends her time in exile and how she considers the human experience lived through categories of tragedy, history and freedom. Her questioning about the historic time of war allows her to base the relationship between man and events, using philosophical presuppositions. Besides that, this article offers a survey of the philosophical works of this Spanish author allowing us to link this reflection to the events of her life and how she assumes them.
