Abstract
Even though not comprehended in its consequences, forms and even its meaning and historic repercussion by social sciences as products of positivism and illustration, religion is an active part of contemporaneous world. Religion is a indelible force, which should be considered from a clear anthropologic and historic perspective in order to understand its consequences and to show that modern world has not be ensable to eliminate it. It is also shown in this paper that it is superficial, when not naïve, to support that the actual splendor of religion is a product of globalization, since this interpretation only makes sense at university circles and in western mass media, known for its limited perception of the world.
