Abstract
Through historical, comparative and deductive methods, this article discusses what would be the successor of the neoconstitutionalism, namely, the “constitutionalism of the future.” Having said this, the study will first cover the basic premises of this phenomenon, developed by José Roberto Dromi. In this sense, it shall be reviewed if the specifications of the “constitutionalism of the future” are, indeed, “of the future”, or if they have already been institutionalized in the legislation - but are in lack of application - or if they simply represent the aspirations of those who advocate for them. At the end, an opinion about the subject will be given.
