Abstract

This article has as a goal the presentation of the family metaphor -MF- as a narrative possibility of reinterpreting the voices of the families in consultation; The intervention continues to be a privileged space for dialogue, and that is why the text intends some foundations for the intervention from a therapeutic perspective. The methodology was qualitative from a hermeneutical perspective. The most relevant results and conclusions show how the MF is one of the different ways to reach families and co-build with their reasons for consultation in context; The family therapist is, in short, also a protagonist with the family in their processes, and power, or at least that is how it is proposed, their humanity [the families], so that they continue their ways of remaining in the family
system. Finally, some guiding questions are posed to the reader, in key challenges to make the MF a daily style for understanding and reflection.
