Entrevista a María Soledad Azuri

Abstract

María Soledad Azuri is originally from Mendoza, Argentina. Her family emigrated to the United States and settled in Florida, where she grew up as an undocumented immigrant until her teenage years. She completed undergraduate studies in Social Work at Georgia State University in the state of Georgia and is a graduate with a Master's degree in Social Work from Columbia University, in the state of New York. She also has a degree in Mental Health. She has extensive experience as a social worker in general and as a counselor with the Latino population at the family, judicial and school levels. As administrator of the Lifting Latina Voices Initiative program at the Feminist Women's Health Center, she focuses on the sexual and reproductive health of Latina women, emphasizing the different components of culture, communication, and women's education.
