Cómo se afecta el funcionamiento de la familia de un niño con cardiopatía congénita

Abstract

This work is the result of a research about: Characteristics of children with congenital heart disease and their consulting families at the Clínica Cardiovascular Santa María from January 2000 until December 2002, for which a sample of 296 children with such disease was extracted from 1,172 that were taken care of during this period and, the study of 16 families with core typology (father, mother and children), that aimed at identifying changes in the functions of spousal, parental and fraternal subsystems in the families that have a child with a congenital heart disease. This was done between the group of Cardiovascular Dynamics of the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana and the Clínica Cardiovascular Santa María and the Family Research Group from the same University.
