The citizen as a political being in political aristotelic philosophy

Abstract

Aristotle establishes a close relation between politics and ethics, as long as politics allows to ream knowledge of supreme goodness and the virtuous action that leads to happiness; which in the end is the final goal of ethics and of the city. Therefore, the politic community (the city), a natural group, before any other group, a civic area in which man reaches the highest development and turns, finally, into “a political animal”.
