Development and participation: approaching toward social policy

Abstract

This research is in process and seeks to analize the component of participation in the public policies of health, housing and public domiciliary services in the national and local level ( Medellin and Bogotá, Colombia) relating this analisis with the situation of the Social Development in Colombia.

The conceptual axis articulates the relationship between SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT, PARTICIPATION, PUBLIC POLICY and COMMUNITY ORGANIZATION, approaching in this context other categories necessarily linked: legitimacy, privatization, civil rights and political culture, in a scenary where the rules that govern the Social-right State weaken increasingly front to the new protagonism yielded to the private sector.
