Under this assumption, the agency is proposed in educational settings considering the modeof personal, mediated and collective agency. The objective was to test an explanatory model of the academic performance of college students based on the three modes of agency in educational settings. A non-probabilistic sample of 187 undergraduate students from a Colombian public university responded to the Inventory of Agency in School Situations (IASS). The resulting structural model explains 18% of academic performance, which receives a direct and positive effect from personal agency. In turn, personal agency receives a direct effect from mediated agency and an indirect effect from collective agency. The structural model presents adequate values of statistical and practical adjustment goodness. It is concluded that the IASS has predictive validity on academic performance.</p> ER -
