Abstract

The Bible describes the features of the ideal woman and how God wants her to be, but the people who received the revelation did not assimilated its teachings. The Bible invites the woman to be aware of the dignity and the respect due to her, stemming from the fact of beign created in God´s likeness and resemblance. If she wants to be treated as a person and not as a possession she has to carry out the duties which make her an aid and the companion of the man to accomplish together the creative task given by God to humanity, without any distinction between sexes and races.
